    What is the Magna Mentoring Program?

    Magna Leadership takes a completely fresh look at mentoring which is much different than traditional mentoring programs. We provide a proven template for mentoring based on leadership competencies tied to organizational and business results. This completely integrated system allows the mentor/mentee pairs to easily track the mentee’s personal and professional growth while tying it to organizational and business results. Our personal process is geared toward mentor meetings (remote or Face-to-face) of 1 to 2 hours total per month. Even with the short mentor/mentee intervals you will be able to see and measure the advancement in accelerated personal, professional and management development plans. Mentoring also builds a learning organization and reduces the tactical managerial overhead for managers and supervisors.

    This system can be applied within a single department or across boundaries to help reduce silos that may be hampering overall organizational performance.

    Who should do this?

    Any employee, manager, supervisor or leader who wants to continuously improve the skills and collaborative work of their employees and themselves. When we have interviewed mentors and mentees in this program, most of the mentors claim that they have learned as much during the process as the mentees have learned.

    How does it work?

    We help you analyze your mentoring needs and how to start small and grow the program. Each mentee gets a full leadership capacity assessment, development plans are created, mentors selected and matched. Mentors/mentees are trained with schedules and goals established. A Stakeholder Instant Feedback Tool (SHIFT) is set up for each mentee to receive on-going feedback.

    How is it done?

    Mentees are selected, Mentors are trained in the process of coaching, feedback, and accountability, individual peers are paired to work creating and driving their personal and professional development plan. Face-to-face or virtual regular meetings are established (typically once a month) where the mentee creates a personal and professional development plan. Roles, boundaries and goals are established and the mentor maintains ownership to help the mentee succeed.
